Deck Evaluation
This is a deck built around Incineroar ex, with a non-ex Incineroar included specifically to counter Oricorio. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean the deck has a clear advantage against Oricorio—it’s more of an even matchup.
How to Play, Strategy & Gameplay
The deck makes full use of Pokémon Communication to get Incineroar ex into play as quickly as possible. It also utilizes Hau to start earning points early in the game.
Pokémon Communication is not used on the first turn. Starting from the next turn, the goal is to evolve into Incineroar ex as early as possible. Once Incineroar ex is in play, the deck aims to close out the game before the opponent can fully set up, using Hau effectively to gain an advantage.
Since Litten takes recoil damage when attacking, it’s important to check whether it might be Knocked Out by a counterattack on the next turn before committing to the attack. After that, the strategy proceeds the same way as when going first.
Incineroar ex’s Fiery Fangs deals 50 damage including Burn, and 80 damage when used with Hau, so it’s important to carefully calculate damage, especially in the early game. Since there’s a chance a second Incineroar ex might not make it onto the field, Lillie is used to help protect the first one from being Knocked Out as long as possible.
Who Should Use This Deck
This deck is ideal for players who want a strategy that’s as straightforward as possible.
It’s also a good choice for those looking to counter Oricorio, or for players who want to take a chance with Incineroar’s coin flip-based attacks to swing the game in their favor.
